Academy Award-winning American singer and actress Barbra Streisand has joined forces with Humane Society International to support the charity's efforts to stop the dog meat trade.

Streisand commented 'I would like to join with Humane Society International in its effort to draw world attention to the barbarity of an annual festival in China celebrating... yes, celebrating... the human consumption of dogs. Dogs give us unconditional love. You don't kill anything that gives you unconditional love'.
